The Scene Magazine interviewed the Bizzle to see whats happening and to see how things are going..Lethal is set to release his second debut solo album titled "Back To Bizznizz" at the end of May, which we are sure is going to be as big as his first album "Against All Odds".When Lethal released the highly infectious track "POW" it was being played everywhere from your kitchen radios down to your phone MP3's. Lethal continues to shine in the music scene and with his second album on the way, we are sure to hear and expect alot more from him.
1. Whats happening Lethal, Hows things going?
Cool, everything’s cool
2. Since you have been on the scene, do you feel that getting the respect and recognition on the streets?
Yeah definitely, on the grime scene (I actually don’t think there’s a scene, to much politics), they have to respect what I’m doing, not to is pure hate. But I’m getting love.
3. What do you think of the UK urban music scene at the moment?
I think it’s getting there, I think we’ve got a long way to go. Slow mo is better than no mo. Doors are opening but you can just about get an urban career. I feel that there’s weight on my shoulders to open doors for people.
4. Channel U & MySpace have given UK artists a massive exposure in the UK. What do you think of these 2 channels promoting our UK talent?
Really good, it gives us a sense of power. Channel U had a huge, huge impact on POW. POW was big but Channel U helped, people around the UK could hear it not just people in London. MySpace is a really powerful tool. All over the world people can listen and get to know your music and what you’re about.
5. With the success of your first album, "Against All Odds" are we going to be expecting another album from you?
Yeah 2nd album ‘Back To Bizznizz’ out end of May on V2 Music
6. With a few artists under Lethal Bizzle Records such as Fumin, Ozzie and Wiz Kid, What projects are we going to be seeing for 2007?
Fire Camp got an album coming out and another mixtape. And each individual Fire Camp member has got a mixtape coming out.
7. Of all the live performances you’ve done, which has been your personal favourite?
Reading Festival 2006 was the best performance ever! The crowd was phenomenal, just crazy. They knew all the songs, all the words; I just had the crowd in my hand.
8. How does it feel being an influence for other up and coming UK music artists?
It feels good; I love it when people say they like me. It’s inspirational, it’s like a reward. Seeing a crowd jumping up and down to a track, it’s motivational.
9. Who would you say has influenced you with your music?
I get my hype, crazy madness from Wu Tang. My funk from Michael Jackson; my swagger from Nas. Biggie has been a big influence on me and so has a lot of the West Coast stuff- Dr Dre, Snoop.
10. What new material or projects can we expect to hear from you in the near future?
Just the album really ‘Back to Bizznizz’ out in May
11. Any Shout Outs?
Shout to everyone, buy my new album. Thanks if you bought the last album, holla at my MySpace: www.myspace.com/lethalbizzlemusic
