KING Apparel, the UK's premier streetwear brand dedicated to youth culture, has collaborated with the Want Respect? Use a Condom campaign to create 1,000 limited edition jeans featuring a unique condom stash pocket. A design like this is not something you see on jeans when you do your high street shopping, but this design is unique and is an inventive way of getting a positive message accross to the youth of today.Dedicated to youth culture, KING designers have inconspicuously included a condom pocket on the inside of the jeans to encourage young people to practise safer sex. The condom pocket is neatly branded with the Want Respect? Use a Condom logo designed by international graffiti legend Mode 2. So if you are out on the town or if you are visiting that someone special, you know that protection is only an arms length away!
The collaboration demonstrates KING Apparel's support of the Want Respect? Use a Condom campaign, which promotes condom use among teenagers to protect against unplanned pregnancies and STIs, which is currently a problem that the UK governement and independant groups are trying to tackle.
KING apparel still keeps their stylish design with the "Want Respect?, Use a Condom" imprint. With the campaign moving into fashion to get their message seen, this will definately draw alot of attention as we are in a period where fashion trends among the youth are important.KING clothing is proudly worn by their programme of KING Affiliates whose roster includes Sway, Plan B, Pyrelli and Y-B-M amongst other home-grown UK talents. KING's strict 'no re-runs and no repeats' policy renders this limited edition run of jeans a socially conscious and fashionable necessity.
KING Apparel founder, Tim Hoad said: "It is definitely a good look to collaborate with the Want Respect? campaign. Not only does it allow us to add some distinctive features to our garments, giving young people a unique way to stash their condoms, but more importantly it enables us to add our voice credibly to a socially conscious cause."
So if you want to grab a pair and become part of the cause, the jeans go on sale from Saturday 24th March in over 80 independant stockists in the UK. Priced at £75.
