Album Review: Timbaland Presents: Shock Value

Is there any justification as to why 'Timbaland' isn't one of the top producers in the industry right now?

Well, I'm sticking to my guns and saying that he is one of the top hit makers out there. His new album 'Timbaland Presents: Shock Value', in my opinion gives you a whole range of different styles that makes Timbaland's sound unique from the rest. The album consisting of 17 high energy tracks gives you a mix of Hip Hop, RnB and pop, plus featuring special guests such as 'Justin Timberlake', '50 Cent', 'Dr Dre' and 'Elton John'. From hearing the album, you often keep thinking whether a producer can turn rapper?, even though some producers have tried and failed (miserably), surprisingly 'Timbo' pulls his vocal ability off well with his unique sound and flow.

His hit single "Give It To Me" featuring 'Justin Timberlake' and 'Nelly Furtado', was a good mix of those signature 'Timbaland' drums, plus the appearance of 'JT' and 'Nelly Furtado' gave the track the right ingredients for it to be a hit single. Even though the video for the song did not appear to have that look of "effort" put in, I still liked the whole concept of the video showing concert performance clips and the popular up close and personal camera angles!.

Since the single's release, word started to go around that the track was an apparent diss to artists 'Fergie' from Black Eyed Peas, 'Scott Storch' and 'Prince'. With 'Nelly Furtado' going at 'Fergie', 'Timbaland' going at 'Scott Storch' and 'Justin Timberlake' aims words at 'Prince'. But whatever the intentions of the track, this single will definitely go straight to the top of my charts and will remain on constant replay on my Ipod!

Tracks to keep on replay:

Give It To Me. Featuring Justin Timberlake & Nelly Furtado
Release. Featuring Justin Timberlake
Come and Get Me. Featuring 50 Cent & Tony Yayo
